Inspiration behind these images
Fresh cut flowers take me back to childhood days in my Grandaddy’s garden. I can still hear him sharing advice about flowers and life, as we walked the carefully tended rows and viewed the latest arrivals. The peony is one of those garden superstars that has always tugged at my heart and made me swoon. The anticipation as it unfurls its petals is one of sheer delight. Pink was my mom’s favorite color. I remember Grandaddy and I looking for just the right ones to cut and bring inside for us to enjoy. May these fresh cut peonies surround you with beautiful memories of days gone by.
Kitchen Table Conversations add a touch of nostalgia
These colorful, homespun cards are reminiscent of times shared between family and friends around the kitchen table. Genuine moments that bring you together and connect you. Inspiration behind the image
More than a place to eat, the kitchen table has a unique ability to put me at ease. It sparks memories of sharing stories with my family as meals were prepared. Takes me back to doing my homework while my mom unloaded the groceries and discussed plans for a new recipe. Transports me to highly anticipated evenings of Scrabble, filled with friendly competition and togetherness. Whether I am in my own home, the home of a friend, family member or somewhere new, its humble presence creates a safe, comfortable space to gather with others and have real conversations about everyday life. This image came to be in the kitchen of 100-year old Swiss alpine house where my husband and I stayed for a week during the Pandemic. Although we had never been there, the retro themed tablecloth, old school wooden walls and melodic sounds of the clock were all too familiar. A carefully placed daisy collected during a hike in the alps became reminiscent of a visit with relatives and friends back in our homeland after a day of adventure. May this cozy scene inspire you to send a warm, comforting message to someone in your life. To remind them how much they matter to you. To share everyday sentiments, just like you would around the kitchen table.

One of my favorite Basel trees basks in the loveliest light alongside one of the tiniest windows. Filled with hope and wonder this duo stands quietly beside an effervescent brook at the former country estate of a renowned Basel family. May you be inspired by their simple beauty.
